The fascinating rides up the Stanserhorn on the funicular railway (which dates back to 1893) and the world’s only CabriO aerial cableway (launched 2012) are like a journey through cableway history. Once at the summit, enjoy a meal – such as our Älplermagronen served in an edelweiss pot – in the revolving restaurant and browse the well-stocked souvenir shop, talk to the Stanserhorn rangers and admire the marmots, the 100-kilometre long Alpine chain and 10 Swiss lakes, visit the nature reserve containing enchanting fauna and flora, and much more. 1900 metres above everyday life – welcome to the Stanserhorn’s cableways.
The Stanserhorn cable car and the revolving restaurant are in hibernation, which is why different opening hours apply to the ticket office in Stans.
This blanket was the common goal of the ‘Knitting on Mount Stanserhorn’ idea, on which around 100 knitters have been knitting since mid-May.

A candlelight dinner, a trip up and down the mountain, Älplermagronen or a delicious breakfast will put a smile on the face of the lucky recipient.
On September 1, 1974, the funicular transported guests all the way up to the Stanserhorn for the last time. After that, the operation of sections 2 and 3 was discontinued forever. On Sunday, 3 November, we honored this historic event on the Stanserhorn.
