Visit www.ginto.ch for details of the mobility-impaired accessibility of the Stanserhorn funicular, CabriO and restaurant. The website makes it easier for people with disabilities, seniors and families with small children to plan their outings.
Simply explore the virtual tour to the summit. This will give you an idea of the path, its condition and the view. By the way: the terrace, the revolving restaurant and the middle station are also virtually accessible so that you can prepare for your visit in the best possible way.
If you start the summit circular trail on the left, you will find a flat gravel path up to the Adlerhorst. At the Adlerhorst, roughly in the middle of the circular route, there is a staircase. After the steps, a gravel path leads to the summit.
The summit circular trail around to the right, up to the Murmeli, is paved. The gravel path from the Murmeli to the summit is very steep. A certain level of fitness and surefootedness are required for the entire summit circuit.
You start by taking the funicular train from Stans to Kälti. Wheelchair and rollator users will not have a problem changing between the funicular and the CabriO cable car at the intermediate station. On the Stanserhorn, a wheelchair accessible restroom is available by the terrace, and a ramp makes access to the revolving restaurant easy. Please contact us in advance if more than two visitors are wheelchair users.
